Meghan Quinn has done it again with her latest release. Her books have an incredible ability to rope you in from the very first page, drawing you into a world bursting with laughter and heartfelt moments. I absolutely love the depth and uniqueness of her characters, each one more relatable and endearing than the last. Atlas and Betty’s story will have you dying laughing with its witty banter and hilarious situations that unfold throughout their journey. It’s so comical, filled with unexpected twists that keep you on your toes, making it a perfect, feel-good Christmas story that you can cozy up with by the fire. And as a special bonus, the narrators of the accompanying audiobook are some of my all-time favorites: J.F. Hardin, Teddy Hamilton, Shane East, and Samantha Brentmoor, whose performances bring the characters to life in such an enchanting way. Perfection, indeed!

I know by now I sound like a broken record, but dang, this series is AMAZING! It has everything that a great book should offer: a gripping plot, or rather, plots that intertwine beautifully, characters who are exceptionally well developed and continue to grow throughout the narrative, and mind-blowing world-building that immerses you completely into its universe. I don’t know where to begin or how to adequately express my enthusiasm. This book, this entire series, has me in a choke hold, keeping me under its spell chapter after chapter. I’m biting my nails as I turn each page, completely anxious yet excited about what comes next. So much is going on within its pages – we discover new characters with fascinating backstories, intricate schemes that leave you guessing, and new layers of political intrigue that are both clever and shocking. This book definitely keeps you on your toes, making every moment a thrilling ride. Never have I felt the desire to create note cards on every character to track their multiple roles and evolving stories, as the web of relationships continues to expand in unexpected ways. Each twist and turn adds depth and excitement, drawing you deeper into a world that’s as rich as it is unpredictable.

TEMPEST OF WRATH AND VENGEANCE: THE LEGACY SERIES #3

STAR RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Okay, first off, let me just express how utterly enthralled I am by Melissa K. Roehrich’s brilliance as a writer! This book was an absolute 5-Star masterpiece for me. The way it’s written is nothing short of extraordinary. The plot, the intricate details, the character progression—absolute top-tier! Though it took me some time to finish, largely due to the holiday frenzy that eats up my reading time, I savor every moment of this journey. This is a series that absolutely demands a slow read; with the multitude of characters and interwoven storylines, it’s essential not to miss a single nuance! However, I must admit that Tessa did grate on my nerves at times. Her relentless complaining and rudeness felt like a bit too much. I grasp her motivations, yet still, it was quite the struggle. I desperately hope she redeems herself. But with that shocking twist at the end of book two—oh my word, I’m left gasping! So many questions linger: Will Axel be okay? Where’s Katya? Who is Tristyn, really? And Dex—what’s going on with him? The Augury, the ruling Lords and Ladies, Felicity, Auryon, Mother Cordelia, Scarlet, Soren, and beyond—it’s a whirlwind! I swear, you’ll need index cards just to keep everyone straight! And who is that mysterious prisoner lurking in the shadows? Then there’s the chaotic affair with Tessa, Theon, and Luka—so many questions, so many players in this intricate “game.” So many thrilling plot twists! This book is absolutely phenomenal!!! I can’t praise it enough, and rest assured, I won’t spoil the story for anyone. But wow, I am so ready to dive into book three!

STORM OF SECRETS AND SORROW: THE LEGACY SERIES #2

BY: Melissa K. Roehrich

STAR RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just the series I was looking for. Melissa K. Roehrich knows how to write a fantasy book that captivates from the very first page. There are demi-gods, legacies, fae, mortals, dragon shifters, and so much more, all intricately woven together in a rich tapestry of adventure. Her descriptive writing is perfect; she creates vivid images in the reader’s mind without overwhelming them with unnecessary details. She gives you just enough descriptions while still leaving plenty of room for your imagination to fill in the blanks, creating a personalized experience for every reader. So many times the books are overfilled with explaining something, sometimes to the point of repetitive writing, but Melissa strikes the ideal balance. And the yearning throughout the narrative? OMG!!! Will they, won’t they? It’s the epitome of romantic tension and adds an irresistible layer to the plot. I absolutely love the storyline between Theon and Tessa, as it evolves in unexpected ways, pulling at your heartstrings. You’re kept in a state of suspense the entire novel, hanging onto each twist and turn. There are so many different elements at play, with an array of characters and subplots that enrich the main storyline. Each character feels fully developed, contributing their unique perspective and adding depth to the overarching narrative. I am telling you, this is a top-tier book, and I have a feeling it is only going to get better with each installment in the series. The anticipation for the next book is already building, and I can’t wait to dive back into this enchanting world. Thank gosh this is a completed series!!
