OMG!! I am absolutely heartbroken. First and foremost, I promised myself I wouldn’t dive into any more series until they were all wrapped up. I genuinely believed this was a standalone gem. How naïve I was! I should have realized it from the way the narrative was dragging. But it wasn’t until I reached the final page that I discovered I had been misled. The worst part? I don’t want to continue, yet deep down, I know I must because the ending pulls at my very soul. Curse my insatiable curiosity! It’s one of the reasons I can never just abandon a book, coupled with my belief that if an author invests their heart and soul into writing and I’ve shelled out my hard-earned cash, it absolutely deserves my attention. This book is unmistakably a typical Sadie Kincaid creation, overflowing with sizzling and steamy encounters. Sure, some scenes were downright cringeworthy, but it felt like they went overboard to the point of tedium. And let’s be honest, the plot was nearly nonexistent. It only hinted at excitement in the last 5 minutes of the read. If you’re in the market for a smutty escape, then maybe this book is for you. But if, like me, you crave a captivating storyline, you might want to hold onto your wallet; otherwise, you’ll find yourself buying two books!
