The Fake Mate

Oh, this one was FUN! And apparently, a fake relationship, a grumpy wolf shifter, and some seriously sizzling chemistry are a winning combination! 🐺πŸ”₯

The Fake Mate was exactly the kind of romance I was craving, and I absolutely loved it!

Mackenzie and Noah are both doctors, both wolf shifters, and both have their own reasons for agreeing to a fake relationship. But we all know how those arrangements tend to work out, don’t we? πŸ˜‰

Noah is the reserved, broody alpha who prefers keeping everyone at arm’s length, while Mackenzie is outgoing, feisty, and more than capable of pushing every single one of his buttons. Their personalities couldn’t be more different, and I LOVED watching the sparks fly!

The banter, the tension, the stolen moments, and the gradual shift from pretending to something very real had me completely invested in their relationship.

And can we talk about the spice?! 🌢️🌢️🌢️πŸ”₯

Oh, Lana Ferguson understood the assignment! The chemistry was fantastic, and the steamy scenes absolutely delivered! But what made this book so enjoyable was that the romance wasn’t just about physical attraction. There was an actual relationship developing beneath all that delicious tension.

My Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I absolutely devoured this one! It had everything I wanted in a paranormal rom-com: humor, heart, fantastic chemistry, a deliciously grumpy hero, and plenty of spice!

This was one of those books that reminded me just how much FUN reading can be. And after struggling through a reading slump, that’s exactly what I needed.

Officially four stars, but between you and me? This one was knocking on the door of five! πŸ˜‰β€οΈ

πŸ’¬ Let’s chat! Do you love the fake dating trope as much as I do? And are you a fan of a little supernatural spice in your romances?

Hi, I'm Rese. I'm starting out on the road to wellness. My journey will not look like yours. And I guarantee that there will be many stumbles along the way. Life happens, and to be honest, I known that I won't break years of bad habits overnight. But I will keep moving forward. I won't let it defeat me. My goal is not to lose weight, although that would definitely be welcome, but instead to lower my blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol by finding a healthier way of eating. A way that works for me and my lifestyle. Some days will be perfect and some days will look like a train wreck, but eventually, I hope there are more good days than bad ones. Or at least that's the goal!
