This book is sheer perfection. The writing flows like poetry, and the author provides just the right amount of description without being overly verbose, allowing the reader to engage their imagination fully. Matilda and Vince’s story is profoundly heartbreaking. While another reviewer suggested that Vince’s presence was unnecessary, I firmly disagree. Matilda’s decisions are deeply rooted in her feelings for Vince; without him, she wouldn’t have become the person she ultimately is. Every choice she makes is tied to her love for him. Add this to your TBR—it’s an absolute must-read. If you adore this book as much as I do, be sure to explore her series, Letters of Enchantment (Divine Rivals and Ruthless Vows); it beautifully connects to this story.
