I know by now I sound like a broken record, but dang, this series is AMAZING! It has everything that a great book should offer: a gripping plot, or rather, plots that intertwine beautifully, characters who are exceptionally well developed and continue to grow throughout the narrative, and mind-blowing world-building that immerses you completely into its universe. I don’t know where to begin or how to adequately express my enthusiasm. This book, this entire series, has me in a choke hold, keeping me under its spell chapter after chapter. I’m biting my nails as I turn each page, completely anxious yet excited about what comes next. So much is going on within its pages – we discover new characters with fascinating backstories, intricate schemes that leave you guessing, and new layers of political intrigue that are both clever and shocking. This book definitely keeps you on your toes, making every moment a thrilling ride. Never have I felt the desire to create note cards on every character to track their multiple roles and evolving stories, as the web of relationships continues to expand in unexpected ways. Each twist and turn adds depth and excitement, drawing you deeper into a world that’s as rich as it is unpredictable.
