Though it took me some time to finish, largely due to the holiday frenzy that eats up my reading time, I savor every moment of this journey. This is a series that absolutely demands a slow read; with the multitude of characters and interwoven storylines, it’s essential not to miss a single nuance! However, I must admit that Tessa did grate on my nerves at times. Her relentless complaining and rudeness felt like a bit too much. I grasp her motivations, yet still, it was quite the struggle. I desperately hope she redeems herself. But with that shocking twist at the end of book two—oh my word, I’m left gasping! So many questions linger: Will Axel be okay? Where’s Katya? Who is Tristyn, really? And Dex—what’s going on with him? The Augury, the ruling Lords and Ladies, Felicity, Auryon, Mother Cordelia, Scarlet, Soren, and beyond—it’s a whirlwind! I swear, you’ll need index cards just to keep everyone straight! And who is that mysterious prisoner lurking in the shadows? Then there’s the chaotic affair with Tessa, Theon, and Luka—so many questions, so many players in this intricate “game.” So many thrilling plot twists! This book is absolutely phenomenal!!!
